Pakistan downs another Indian drone in Bahawalnagar


ISLAMABAD: Tensions between India and Pakistan continued to escalate on Thursday as Pakistan’s armed forces downed another Indian drone in Bahawalnagar and carried out effective retaliatory strikes along the Line of Control, security sources said.

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed that an Indian Harop drone was brought down by Pakistani forces in Bahawalnagar, calling it another violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty.

With this, the total number of Indian drones shot down by Pakistan in a single day has reached 26.

Indian post at Haji Pir destroyed

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s armed forces carried out an effective retaliatory strike against Indian troops in the Haji Pir sector following what officials described as unprovoked aggression from across the Line of Control, security sources said.

According to the sources, the Pakistan Army destroyed the Indian military’s Jhanda Ziyarat post after it initiated unprovoked firing. The destruction of the post reportedly caused significant damage to Indian forces.

Indian military headquarters at Pandu sector destroyed

Additionally, Pakistan armed forces launched a strong counteroffensive against Indian aggression in Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s Pandu sector.

According to security sources, India had opened unprovoked fire, to which Pakistan responded with precision strikes, destroying a key Indian military headquarters.

Pakistan Army’s artillery fire inflicted heavy damage on the Indian battalion headquarters at Zananga Tik, the sources revealed.

The response was a direct consequence of repeated ceasefire violations by Indian forces.

Security sources further said that Pakistan has previously carried out similar responses, resulting in the destruction of several Indian checkpoints along the LoC. They reiterated that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully prepared to respond firmly to any act of aggression.
