Pakistan to dispatch 100-ton aid consignment for Palestine today

ISLAMABAD: Preparations to dispatch Pakistan’s first aid consignment for Palestine have been completed, following instructions from Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) confirmed that the consignment, weighing 100 tons, will depart from Islamabad Airport this evening.

According to NDMA, the consignment includes essential food items and medicines. “The aid supplies will reach Jordan and Oman through a special flight,” NDMA officials said. From there, the consignment will be transported to the Palestinian territories.

Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and NDMA Chairman Lt Gen Inam Haider Malik will attend the departure ceremony as chief guests.
