ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Pakistan women’s cricket team posted 168 for six in their 20 overs in the Pakistan Women vs Ireland Women second T20I on Friday, setting a challenging target to level the three-match series.
After being put into bat, Pakistan got off to a brisk start with Muneeba Ali scoring 27 off 22 balls and Shawal Zulfiqar adding 33 from 27 deliveries.
Eyman Fatima (23 off 16) and Natalia Pervaiz (31 off 17) kept the momentum going with aggressive stroke play, while captain Fatima Sana chipped in with 23 from 16 balls.
For Ireland, Lara McBride and Cara Murray took two wickets apiece, while Orla Prendergast claimed one.

In reply, Ireland reached 51 for three in nine overs, needing 118 runs from the remaining 66 balls at a required run rate of 10.7.
Orla Prendergast was batting on 18 alongside Laura Delany on 4.
Rameen Shamim struck twice for Pakistan, dismissing Gaby Lewis for 21 and Leah Paul for a first-ball duck, while Eyman Fatima effected a sharp run-out to remove Amy Hunter for six.
Pakistan women lose opening T20I
Pakistan women’s cricket team suffered an 11-run defeat against Ireland in the opening match of the three-match T20 International series at Clontarf Cricket Ground on Wednesday.
Despite a fine bowling performance from skipper Fatima Sana, Pakistan fell short in their chase.

Batting first, Ireland posted 142, with all-rounder Orla Prendergast contributing 26 runs and taking three wickets to earn the player-of-the-match award.
In reply, Pakistan were bowled out for 131, unable to capitalise on their captain’s efforts.
The visitors will now look to bounce back in the remaining two games of the series.
