PCB, Abbottabad University sign deal to establish High Performance Centre

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Abbottabad University of Science and Technology (AUST) on Saturday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a High Performance Centre aimed at strengthening the country’s cricket development pathway.

Under the agreement, Abbottabad University will provide land for the construction of a cricket ground, while the PCB will develop the facility over the next 25 years.

The board will construct the ground with match and practice pitches, a pavilion, and domestic cricket-standard infrastructure, facilities, and machinery.

The university will also provide free accommodation and mess facilities for players and coaches using the centre.

The High Performance Centre will cater to Under-15, school and first-class cricketers and will also be used by the PCB as a regional training camp and academy.
