PCB announces Pakistan Women squads for Sri Lanka two-format series

WEB DESK: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday announced the national women’s squads for the upcoming two-format series against Sri Lanka Women, starting from July 22.

The series will feature three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T20 Internationals, with both teams comprising 15-member squads.

Fatima Sana will continue to lead Pakistan in the ODI series, while Muneeba Ali will captain the T20 side in Fatima Sana’s absence.

The ODI skipper and all-rounder will join England’s “The Hundred” tournament after the conclusion of the ODI series. The Hundred is a fast-paced 100-ball cricket tournament organised by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) featuring eight city-based men’s and women’s teams.

The Pakistan women’s T20 squad has witnessed eight changes, with Eman Naseer, Humna Bilal, Maham Anees, Momina Riasat, Najiha Alvi, Shawaal Zulfiqar, Umm-e-Hani, and Waheeda Akhtar included in the squad.

The Sri Lanka Women’s squad features Chamari Athapaththu, Harshitha Samarawickrama, Inoka Ranaweera, Nilakshi de Silva, Anushka Sanjeewani, Hansima Karunaratne, Kavisha Dilhari, Inoshi Priyadharshani, Kaveesha Dilhari, Imesha Dissanayake, Kaveya Kavindi, Vishmi Gunaratne, Rashmi Silva, Dewmi Vihanga, Malki Madara, and Anudi Gunadasa.
