LAHORE: In a significant move, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has opted to diversify coaching staff across Test, One Day International (ODI), and T20 formats.

Sources reveal ongoing deliberations regarding the recruitment of foreign mentors.

Renowned cricketing figures Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie could be potential candidates for the coaching roles.

Kirsten’s expertise may be tapped for the white-ball format, while Gillespie is earmarked for red-ball cricket.

The PCB is currently engaged in discussions with both luminaries, exploring various aspects of their prospective roles, the sources said.

Moreover, discussions are also under way to other support staff positions, encompassing both foreign and domestic talent.
