PCB makes seven changes ahead of third Test against series-clinching England

WEB DESK: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made seven changes to the national Test squad ahead of the third and final Test against England, who have already clinched the series.

The PCB released Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Agha, Ali Usman, Aamir Jamal, Muhammad Awais Zafar and Khurram Shahzad from the squad, according to a notification issued by the board.

The changes come ahead of the third Test, scheduled to begin in Birmingham on Tuesday.

Five uncapped Test cricketers and two players with previous Test experience have been added to the squad as replacements.

Among the new additions, batters Saim Ayub and Abdullah Fazal have played eight and two Tests, respectively.

Left-arm spin-bowling all-rounder Arafat Minhas has represented Pakistan in three ODIs and four T20Is.

The other four additions are left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Imran Jnr, 2025-26 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Player of the Tournament Saad Baig, right-arm pace-bowling all-rounder Mohammad Imran and Razaullah.

The new players will join the Pakistan squad ahead of the third Test against England.

Meanwhile, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Umar Gul have also been released from the backroom staff. They will be replaced by Mike Hesson and Ashley Noffke, respectively.
