ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 will now be played in Karachi due to the ongoing Pakistan-India tensions.

According to PCB, the decision was taken following consultations with key stakeholders.

As part of the shift, today’s scheduled match between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi in Rawalpindi has been postponed. A new date for the fixture will be announced later.

The PCB also issued guidance for ticket refunds. Spectators with VIP gallery or enclosure tickets for today’s match can collect refunds from TCS Express Centres, while those who purchased tickets online will receive automatic refunds to the accounts used for booking.

The board added that if the situation demands, it may also consider moving the remaining PSL matches to Dubai.

Tensions have escalated between the two arch rivals when India opted to attack Pakistan on May 6, targetting six locations in Azad Jammu and Kashmir as well as in Bahawalpur and Muridke, killing as many as 31 civilians and injuring 57.

In retaliation, Pakistan took down five Indian fighter jets and several drone.

India again attacked Pakistan today, but lost its 26 drones.

Pakistan shot down Indian drones across multiple cities including Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi, according to ISPR.

Meanwhile, the Punjab government has announced the closure of all educational institutions, including public and private sector colleges, universities, and medical institutions, on May 9 and 10, in light of the escalating tension between India and Pakistan.
