LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Saudi Cricket have signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at developing cricket infrastructure and strengthening cooperation between the two organisations.
Under the agreement, the two boards will collaborate on the development of an international cricket stadium in Jeddah, a project intended to support Saudi Arabia’s ambitions of hosting major international cricket tournaments and other sporting events.
The agreement was signed by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF), Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Mohammad Al Saud.

The partnership will also focus on building the country’s cricket ecosystem by supporting the development of players, coaches and match officials through technical programmes, competitions and the exchange of expertise.
Both organisations said the MoU is designed to advance cricket development in Saudi Arabia while creating new investment opportunities and promoting sports tourism. The initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to expand the sports sector, increase community participation and improve quality of life across the Kingdom. Saudi Cricket said the agreement represents an important step towards strengthening cricket’s presence in the country and preparing the Kingdom to host international events in the future.
The announcement was made jointly by the PCB and Saudi Cricket, with the latter operating under the support of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Sport, the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and the Vision 2030 programme.
