ISLAMABAD: Pakistani actress Hira Somroo faced widespread criticism after fans noticed a picture of her with Indian actor Ranveer Singh, who is working in the controversial anti-Pakistan film Dhurandhar.

In the image, Hira is shown standing close to Ranveer Singh, smiling at the camera. Fans of the entertainment industry reacted in the comment section, with one writing, “Sister, in the second photo someone else’s ear ended up under your ear. Please remember to remove it.”

Responding to the comments, Hira clarified on her Instagram post that the picture is AI-generated and should not be taken seriously. She wrote, “It is [Artificial Intelligence] AI! I was cast in the Dhurandhar movie, but the moment I realised it is an anti-Pakistan film, I refused it …. a proud Pakistani. PK.”

In another comment, she added that Ranveer Singh does not hate Muslims, he just loves money.

Hira Somroo is widely known for her exceptional talent and candid personality. She often expresses her opinions openly, regardless of potential criticism. However, this latest AI-generated image sparked a strong backlash on social media.

Earlier, Hira, who showcased her acting skills in popular dramas like Tere Bin and Do Kinare, created a romantic AI photoshoot featuring Ranveer Singh, which ignited the controversy.
