ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction with the findings of Transparency International Pakistan’s latest report, which surveys the public perception of corruption in the country. The report, which indicates a significant decline in corruption during the current government’s tenure, was welcomed by the premier as an endorsement of the government’s efforts to promote transparency and combat corruption.

In a statement, PM Sharif said that the positive public opinion reflected in the survey demonstrates that citizens feel they have not encountered corruption under his leadership. “This report is a recognition of our efforts to fight corruption and bring about transparency in government dealings,” he said.

The prime minister also pointed out that the survey revealed widespread approval for the government’s economic measures. “The majority of people believe that the government’s actions to revive the economy have been successful, which is truly gratifying. This transparency report is clear evidence of the success of the reforms we have implemented,” he added.

Highlighting the government’s ongoing efforts, Sharif noted that improving merit-based systems and enhancing transparency across all sectors of government have been key priorities. “The positive public feedback on economic indicators, reforms, and government policies is a direct result of our team’s hard work,” he stated.

In his remarks, the Prime Minister commended the efforts of senior government officials, particularly Field Marshal Asim Munir, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, for their dedication to achieving economic stability.

He reaffirmed his commitment to further improving the economy, providing quality services to the public, and continuing the fight to eliminate corruption from all levels of government.
