PML-N’s grand plan to welcome Nawaz Sharif to Pakistan

LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is leaving no stone unturned in preparations to welcome back, its leader, Nawaz Sharif upon his expected return to Pakistan.

While the party had initially announced an arrival date of October 15, concerns over Nawaz Sharif’s health have prompted a reconsideration of the schedule, with his doctors advising against immediate travel.

In what promises to be a monumental event, the PML-N is gearing up to host a mammoth rally, with the goal of drawing one million enthusiastic supporters. The date of Nawaz Sharif’s return remains shrouded in secrecy, but the party has identified five potential venues for this historic reception. Party insiders claim that Nawaz Sharif will have the final say in choosing the location.

Among the proposed sites are Ferozepur Road, Charing Cross, Data Darbar, and Minar Pakistan. The event will see the participation of party officials and ticket holders, who will be entrusted with various responsibilities to ensure the success of the welcome rally for Nawaz Sharif.

As part of the elaborate plan, Nawaz Sharif will be escorted from the airport to the selected rally location in a procession, sources within the party have disclosed.

Prior to his anticipated return, party sources indicate that a security bond will be procured from the court, underscoring the importance of ensuring a smooth and secure homecoming for the PML-N leader.
