Police arrests Speedo bus conductor who assaulted young girl

A bus conductor accused of assaulting a young girl on a public transport vehicle has been arrested in Raiwind, according to police officials.

Authorities confirmed that the suspect, identified as Sajjad Ali, was taken into custody by Chohang police following reports that the girl was subjected to violence during a journey on a Speedo bus. A formal case has been registered, and the matter has been handed over to the investigation wing for further proceedings.

The incident gained attention after video footage surfaced online, allegedly showing the assault taking place on Speedo bus number LHREV 008 near the LDA stop on Raiwind Road in Lahore. Police said the incident occurred close to the Chohang Jayabga stop.

Senior police officials acted swiftly after the footage went viral, ordering immediate action. Investigators used modern technology to trace and apprehend the suspect, who now faces legal action.

Officials from the Punjab Transport Company strongly condemned the incident, stating that individuals involved in violence or harassment against women and children will not be given any leniency and will face strict consequences under the law.
