PPP finalises ten names for cabinet of Sindh province

KARACHI: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leadership has finalised the selection of 10 provincial assembly members to join the cabinet of the Sindh province. Sources reveal that among those approved are Nasir Shah, Saeed Ghani, Sharjeel Memon, Azra Fazal Pechuho, Sardar Shah, Zia Linjar, and Mohammad Bakhsh Maher. The swearing-in ceremony for the provincial cabinet is expected to take place today.

In addition to the cabinet appointments, PPP has announced plans to construct a presidential guest house in Lahore, contingent upon Asif Ali Zardari’s election as president. This facility will serve as a venue for hosting party leaders and dignitaries, with President Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto scheduled to visit Lahore in the coming days. During their visit, meetings with various leaders are scheduled to take place.

Furthermore, PPP intends to host a dinner at Bilawal House Lahore, where discussions regarding organisational matters in Lahore and Punjab will take place. Following the resignation of former president Chaudhry Aslam Gul from the party presidency, consultations will be held regarding reorganization and the election of a new president.

Ishaq Dar assumes role as foreign minister

Faisal Karim Kundi, spokesperson for the Pakistan People’s Party, has confirmed that Aseefa Bhutto will assume the role of first lady. In an official statement, Kundi announced that President Asif Zardari will make a formal declaration regarding Aseefa Bhutto’s status as the first lady, highlighting her distinction as the daughter of the president. – INP
