‘Practical Magic 2’ trailer drops as Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock return after 28 years

Practical Magic

Practical Magic 2 has released its first trailer, bringing Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock back to the screen nearly three decades after the original.

The sequel picks up with the Owens sisters facing a renewed threat tied to their family’s curse, with the trailer teasing a darker, more high-stakes chapter.

A return that changes everything

The film revisits Sally and Gilly at a different stage of life. Sally is now raising adult daughters, while Gilly appears to have settled down, but the calm quickly unravels as a new mystery pulls them back into danger.

The sequel introduces a fresh cast including Joey King, Lee Pace and Maisie Williams, alongside returning aunts played by Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest.

Based on Alice Hoffman’s The Book of Magic, the film continues the story of the Owens family decades after the 1998 original and is set to release in cinemas on September 11.

With the trailer now out, the sequel is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about nostalgic returns of the year.
