The stage is set for a high-voltage finale of the Pakistan Super League 11, as Hyderabad Kingsman take on Peshawar Zalmi in the championship match tonight at Lahore’s iconic Gaddafi Stadium.

The final, scheduled for 8pm, will be preceded by a star-studded closing ceremony featuring performances from Atif Aslam, Ali Azmat, Arif Lohar, Aima Baig and the Sabri Sisters, promising an electrifying atmosphere for fans.

Ahead of the clash, Zalmi captain Babar Azam said lifting the trophy remains his ultimate goal, as it is for every captain. Meanwhile, Hyderabad Kingsman skipper Marnus Labuschagne expressed confidence, stating his team has fought hard to reach the final and aims to maintain that intensity.

TIGHT SECURITY MEASURES IN PLACE

Punjab police have rolled out extensive security arrangements for the high-profile match. Inspector General Abdul Karim confirmed that over 7,000 police officers and security personnel will be deployed across Lahore.

Special units, including Dolphin Force, Elite Force, and PRU teams, will patrol around the stadium, while senior officers have been instructed to personally oversee security and traffic management to ensure a safe environment for spectators.

RECORD PRIZE MONEY ANNOUNCED

The Pakistan Cricket Board has also unveiled record-breaking prize money for this season. The winning team will receive $500,000, the highest in PSL history, while the runners-up will take home $300,000.

Additionally, a $200,000 award has been set aside for the best-performing franchise, and a total of $500,000 will be distributed among players. Officials say the increase aims to boost competitiveness and elevate the league’s overall quality.
