KARACHI: Lahore Qalandars delivered a commanding all-round performance to defeat Rawalpindiz by 32 runs in the 27th match of the Pakistan Super League at National Bank Stadium on Saturday.
Opting to bat first, Lahore Qalandars posted an imposing 210-4 in their 20 overs, powered by a superb 121-run opening partnership between Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Farooq. Fakhar led the charge with a brilliant 84 off 54 balls, smashing 11 fours and a six, while Farooq contributed 63 off 41 deliveries, including five sixes.

Abdullah Shafique chipped in with a quick 26, while Asif Ali provided late fireworks with an unbeaten 14 off just six balls. For Rawalpindiz, Mohammad Amir and Razaullah picked up two wickets each.
In response, Rawalpindiz had a shaky start as Shaheen Shah Afridi struck early, removing Shahzaib Khan and captain Mohammad Rizwan within the first three overs, leaving the side struggling at 17-2.
Yasir Khan fought back with an aggressive 58 off 29 balls, stitching a 71-run stand with Daryl Mitchell. However, Haris Rauf turned the game on its head by dismissing both set batters in the same over.
Saad Masood kept hopes alive with a fighting 54 off 26 balls, but the mounting required rate proved too much. Rauf returned to take his third wicket, sealing the victory for Lahore in the final over.
