PSL set to become world’s top T20 league, says PCB Chairman

ISLAMABAD: PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said the mission is to make the Pakistan Super League (PSL) the leading T20 league in the world. He announced that a state-of-the-art cricket stadium with world-class facilities will be built in Islamabad, and another international-standard stadium is planned for Muzaffarabad.

After PSL is converted into a limited company, an IPO will be launched for investors, he added. From December until the start of PSL 11, concerts for cricket fans will be organized at all venues.

“PSL is emerging as a strong international brand,” Naqvi said, highlighting efforts to expand its global broadcast reach. A new tender for PSL’s international media rights has already been issued, and the PCB has also launched its OTT platform, PCB Live.

The winning PSL team will receive $500,000, while the runners-up will get $300,000. The franchise showing the best cricket development will be awarded $200,000. “There are huge opportunities for investors in the PSL,” Naqvi emphasised.
