PTI distances itself from Tahir Anjum’s assault

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has disavowed any connection to the assault on actor and President of the PML-N Cultural Wing Punjab, Tahir Anjum, by Aneela, also known as Neeli Pari.

Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar, the Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly and a PTI leader, clarified that Aneela, alias Neeli Pari, is not affiliated with PTI.

According to details, the incident took place outside the Punjab Assembly where PTI was conducting a ‘symbolic hunger strike’ in protest against the imprisonment of party founder Imran Khan.

Neeli intercepted Tahir Anjum’s vehicle outside the assembly and began assaulting him, alleging that the actor had referred to PTI founder Imran Khan as a terrorist.
