WEB DESK: There is ongoing secret communication between Tehreek-e-Insaf and PTI parliamentarians for government formation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Making Mahmood Khan the chairman of PTI (P) instead of Parvez Khattak may also be the reason for these contacts.

According to sources, Pervez Khattak and Mehmood Khan met some important personalities in Islamabad yesterday.

On Saturday, PTI (P) chairman Pervez Khattak’s decision to leave the party chairmanship and party membership, making Mehmood Khan the new chairman of the party, came to light.

The political circles of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa consider these changes in the leadership of PTI (P) as important, viewing them as an opportunity for independent members elected by PTI in the province to join PTI parliamentarians in the KP Assembly.

An informed source told Hum News English that, after negotiations with Jamaat-e-Islami failed, the PTI leadership has started contacts with PTI (P) to accommodate their independent members of the assembly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Ziaullah Khan Bangash, the Central Information Secretary of PTI Parliamentarian, while confirming these contacts, told Hum News English that talks between PTI and his party are taking place at the level of legal experts. In these talks, legal options for joining the PTI (P) of elected independent MPs are being considered.

According to the Central Information Secretary of PTI (P), if the two parties reach a conclusion at the level of legal experts, then the leaders of the two parties will hold talks. He further informed revealed that Pervez Khattak has resigned from party chairmanship and membership due to illness.
