PTI Mardan rally draws strong participation, reaffirms support for Imran Khan

MARDAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) held a rally in Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where a large number of workers gathered to express support for party founder Imran Khan and demand his release.

The rally, held as part of PTI’s ongoing political movement, saw participation from workers across the province. Chief Minister Sohail Afridi supervised arrangements and urged party representatives to mobilise maximum attendance.

Upon his arrival at the venue, workers welcomed the leadership with energetic slogans, including chants in favour of Imran Khan and calls for further mobilisation.

Addressing the gathering, Sohail Afridi announced a Rs50 billion development package for Mardan, reiterating the provincial government’s commitment to balanced development in line with Imran Khan’s vision.

PTI leaders also reaffirmed their resolve to continue the protest movement, announcing future political activities including visits to Azad Kashmir on April 25 and Lahore on May 1.

During the rally, several resolutions were passed highlighting issues such as inflation, unemployment and high electricity bills, while also calling for the provision of medical facilities to Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi and the release of political prisoners.

Participants also expressed solidarity on regional peace issues, supporting diplomatic efforts and calling for stability both within Pakistan and across the region.

Party leadership said the strong turnout in Mardan reflects continued public backing for Imran Khan and readiness among workers to respond to the party’s call for further action.
