Punjab govt to spend Rs10 billion on Laptop Scheme

LAHORE: The Punjab Government has allocated Rs 10 billion for the laptop scheme. The provincial government will provide core i7 40,000 laptops under the laptop Schemes.

The project will commence in January next year. The foundational approval for the project was granted in yesterday’s meeting chaired by the Chief Minister of Punjab.

Earlier this month, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif while addressing a ceremony in connection with the distribution of laptops amongst the students of various universities said that billions of rupees have been allocated in the current fiscal year budget for the distribution of one hundred thousand laptops on merit to the youth.
