ISLAMABAD: Rain is forecasted in various regions of the country over the upcoming weekend, as predicted by Pak Weather, a weather forecasting website on Thursday.

This weekend, the upper areas of Punjab, including Islamabad and Rawalpindi, as well as popular tourist destinations like Murree, Guliyat, Nathiagali, Kalam, Muzaffarabad, and Malam Jabba, may experience rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds.

There is a likelihood of a series of rains in Punjab, encompassing Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Jhelum, as well as extending to Peshawar, Nowshera, Waziristan, Dir, and Abbottabad. This precipitation is expected to gradually spread to certain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Sindh.

Furthermore, a notable reduction in fog intensity is anticipated next week due to the influence of western winds. Subsequently, heavy snowfall is forecasted in the upper regions of the country during the upcoming week, particularly in the hilly areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
