Another spell of rain, snow starts tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: A new spell of rain, hailstorms, and snow is set to sweep across the country starting tomorrow, bringing the temperatures further down.
The Meteorological Office has issued severe weather warnings for various areas, including southwest Balochistan where heavy rainfall of 50-100 mm is expected, potentially leading to flash flooding. Strong winds with gusts of 80-100 km/h are forecasted for southern Balochistan, particularly in Panjgur, Dalbandin, and Khuzdar.
In northeast Balochistan, snowfall is anticipated above 8,000 feet, while Quetta will experience strong winds and a significant temperature drop.
HEAVY RAIN IN KARACHI
The PMD on Friday forecasted rain coupled with thunder in Karachi and surrounding districts for two more days till February 4.
The Met Office said Karachi is expected to receive heavy rainfall on February 3 and 4.
Thunderstorms and rainfall is also expected in various areas of Sindh
KPK, GB weather
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and Gilgit Baltistan, heavy snowfall is forecasted, along with scattered wind-thunderstorms and moderate to heavy rainfall in certain districts.
Lower chances of rainfall are predicted in Peshawar valley areas, while Hazara and Malakand regions may experience moderate rainfall.
RAWALPINDI/ISLAMABAD WEATHER
Upper Punjab and Kashmir are also expected to witness thunderstorm activity, with areas like Attock, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall.
Similarly, Azad Kashmir may see more rain in Kotli, Muzaffarabad, and Mirpur regions, with Rawalakot expected to witness its first snowfall.
Residents are urged to exercise caution and stay updated on weather forecasts, especially in areas prone to severe weather conditions.
