LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed that the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10 will be relocated to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to the escalating tensions and attacks by India on Pakistan.
The decision follows a series of drone attacks by India on several Pakistani cities, including Lahore, Rawalpindi and Bahawalpur.

The affected fixtures includes matches between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi, Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars, Islamabad United and Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators, as well as the qualifier match, eliminator 1 and eliminator 2, and the final.
The PCB stated that the exact schedule for these matches will be announced ‘in due course’.
Meanwhile, the PCB Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, said that the former would ensure the safety and mental well-being of all players involved in the tournament. “The PCB has always been of the opinion that politics and sports should be kept separate, but the targetting of Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium by India was a highly irresponsible and dangerous move, which was intended to affect the HBL PSL 10”, he stated.
The chairman stated that the decision to shift the matches was made to protect both, domestic and foreign, players from any potential harm.
“We are determined that the league will move forward successfully”, he declared, calling for support from all stakeholders involved in the tournament.
National one-day international team captain and wicketkeeper-batsman, Mohammad Rizwan, also addressed the situation. He noted Pakistan’s history of resilience in the face of adversity. “We have learnt from the Quran not to wage war, but if war is imposed on you, then do not back down”, the cricketer said.
