ISLAMABAD:  An application was filed with the Election Commission, urging the removal of Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar.

The submission, made by Syed Azizuddin Kakakhel, an attorney from the Supreme Court, alleges that the Prime Minister’s presence could exert undue influence on the upcoming elections, casting doubt on their transparency.

To ensure a fair and transparent electoral process, the application advocates for the removal of both the Prime Minister and Privatisation Minister Fawad Hasan Fawad from their current positions.

The petition further seeks the removal of Caretaker Advisor Ahad Cheema and Principal Secretary Syed Tauqeer Hussain.
