
Sadia Iqbal drops to third spot in latest ICC women’s T20I rankings

LAHORE: Slow left-arm orthodox spinner Sadia Iqbal fell to third place in the latest ICC Women’s T20 International (T20I) bowling rankings.
She shares the third position with India’s Deepti Sharma, both holding a rating of 732 points. Australia’s Annabel Sutherland leads the rankings with 736.

Sadia’s career-best rating of 758 was achieved against Sri Lanka in Sharjah in 2025. Despite slipping from the number one spot, she remains a strong player, with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) awarding her category ‘A’ central contract for the 2025-2026 season.
Another Pakistan spinner, Nashra Sandhu, ranks ninth with a rating of 700.
ICC Women’s T20I Bowling Ranking
Thru 23-year-old Australian is at the top with a rating of 736, matching her career-best performance set against New Zealand earlier this year.
England’s asset Sophie Ecclestone is ranked fourth with a rating of 727, followed by fellow English batter Lauren Bell at 714.
The sixth spot is claimed by Australia’s Georgia Wareham, tied at the seventh spot with England’s Charlie Dean with rating of 704.
West Indies’s Afy Fletcher is at eighth position with a rating of 702, while the tenth spot is claimed by South Africa’s Nonkululeko Mlaba with a rating of 696.

Among the top-ranked bowlers, Sophie Ecclestone holds the highest career-best rating of 802, achieved during a match against Australia in 2023.
