Saudi Arabia limits entry to holy Prophet’s (SAW) tomb to once a year

MADINA: Saudi Arabia has announced new restrictions on pilgrims who wish to visit the tomb of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in Medina.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, pilgrims will now be able to enter the tomb only once a year, and will need to obtain a permit through the Nasik or Tawkalna app.
The ministry said that the permit will be issued only to those who are not infected with the coronavirus or have not been in contact with infected persons.

The new measures are aimed at preventing the spread of the virus and ensuring the safety of the visitors and the staff at the Masjid Nabawi, where the tomb is located.
The ministry also urged the pilgrims to follow the health protocols and guidelines during their visit.
