QUETTA: The Balochistan government has imposed section 144 in Quetta following the latest insurgency in the province.
The government has issued on this issue, notifying that the imposed section 144 will be effective from tonight and will continue until Dec 22, 2025.
Meanwhile, a complete ban has been imposed in Quetta district on the display and use of weapons. The notification also includes a ban on women and children, as well as double riding on motorcycles.
The notification strictly prohibits the use of tinted windows on vehicles. Movement of unregistered motorcycles is banned. Gatherings, processions, rallies, and sit-ins with more than 5 people are prohibited.
The notification also imposes a ban on wearing masks or mufflers in public places. Police, Levies, and FC have been given powers to take strict action. Any violation will be dealt with under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The restrictions imposed by the Balochistan Home Department will remain effective until December 22, 2025.
