Shaheen Afridi, Ansha Shahid’s rukhsati ceremony tonight

KARACHI: Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi and Ansha Shahid, the daughter of former national team captain Shahid Afridi, are set to hold their rukhsati ceremony tonight (Tuesday).

The couple had their nikah ceremony earlier this year.

Last night, a mehndi event took place at Afridi’s residence, attended by close relatives and friends. The groom, accompanied by his family, also participated in the festivities.

In February of this year, Maulana Abdul Sattar solemnized the nikah at the Zakaria Mosque.

Following the nikah, a reception was hosted, which saw the presence of cricketers including Babar Azam, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Naseem Shah, and Shadab Khan, alongside squash legend Jahangir Khan.

The couple got engaged two years ago.

The Valima ceremony is scheduled for September 21 in the federal capital.
