Shehbaz, Hamza acquitted in money laundering case

Lahore:  An accountability court on Thursday acquitted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his son former chief minister Hamza Shehbaz in the money laundering case.

Judge Qamar uz Zaman announced the verdict reserved during last hearing after counsel Amjad Pervez had concluded arguments saying National Accountability Bureau had filed a politically motivated reference against his clients.

NAB had filed reference against Shehbaz Sharif, his son Hamza Shahbaz, wife Nusrat Shahbaz and daughter Rabia Shahbaz in August 2020.
