Shehbaz-Nawaz likely to meet today

London- Former Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in London to hold discussions with ex-Premier Nawaz Sharif regarding the current political scenario, the upcoming elections, and the anticipated return of the party leader to Pakistan.

The scheduled meeting between the former Prime Ministers is set to take place today.

Earlier, on Sunday, Maryam Aurangzeb, former information minister and leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), conveyed through X (formerly known as Twitter) that Shehbaz Sharif would depart from Lahore to London on the same day. She highlighted that the purpose of this visit was for Shehbaz Sharif to engage with party leader Mian Nawaz Sharif in London.

Sources familiar with the matter have indicated that the discussions during the meeting will encompass topics such as the party leader’s potential repatriation and various internal party affairs. It is anticipated that the legal team of the PMLN will also be present during the meeting, with a focus on addressing legal considerations pertaining to the prospective return of Nawaz Sharif.

In the aftermath of Shehbaz Sharif’s resignation from the Prime Ministerial position, Anwarul Haq Kakar has taken on the role of caretaker Prime Minister.
