Sunni Ittehad Council’s leader says party wants to bury past

LAHORE: Sunni Ittehad Council leader Amir Dogar said on Sunday that despite the fact that the PTI-backed candidates had to face a lot of repression and even the party’s candidate for the slot of Punjab CM was not even allowed to attend the provincial assembly’s session.

However, the party still wanted to bury the past and move ahead for the progress and prosperity of the country.

Talking to media outside the Punjab Assembly, Amir Dogar claimed that Sunni Ittehad Council new candidate for CM Punjab Rana Aftab Ahmed Khan will play his positive role in the assembly.

He said despite severe reservations in the process of Speaker and Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly, Sunni Ittehad Council was moving forward for the sake of the country. He claimed that their party will fight against dynastic politics and promote democratic rules and regulations.

He said without the participation of all honorable members, the process of the House should not start. He said despite severe pressures, the attendance of Suni Ittehad council members remained hundred percent. – INP
