Three labourers die of electrocution in Rawalpindi


Three men die making contact with overhead power lines in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: Three labourers lost their lives after being electrocuted while painting a school building in Khurram Colony, Sadiqabad Rawalpindi on Friday.

The police said that the incident occurred when an iron ladder came in contact with the electricity supply wires. The bodies were taken to a nearby hospital for postmortem. The identity of the victims could not be ascertained immediately.

In a separate incident, two people sustained injuries in a firing incident in Landi Gulshan area of Karachi on Friday.

The police said that they were investigating the motive and the culprits behind the attack.

The injured were shifted to a local hospital for medical aid.

Another accident took place on the Northern Bypass road in Karachi, where a man died and another was wounded in a collision between two vehicles.

The rescuers said that they reached the spot and transferred the injured to a hospital for treatment. The deceased was identified as Abdul Rehman, a resident of Orangi Town.
