Vampire Diaries star Candice King is pregnant as Steven Krueger enters new dad chapter

Candice King and fiancé Steven Krueger are expecting their first child together, with the actress confirming she is due in May. The Vampire Diaries star said the timing near her birthday would be “the best gift ever”.

King, 38, is already a mother to daughters Florence and Josephine from her previous marriage to Joe King of The Fray. She described this pregnancy as “shockingly calm” and said the couple had fun surprising friends and family with the news, including revealing it at a belated engagement celebration with Save the Date cards announcing “Baby Krueger”.

The pair, who got engaged earlier this year, recently enjoyed a babymoon in Aruba, where King said she focused on rest, hydration and fruit-filled cravings as she prepared for the months ahead.

Steven Krueger back in the spotlight

As the pregnancy news made headlines, attention has also turned back to Krueger’s career. The actor is best known for playing Josh Rosza in The Originals and Coach Ben Scott in Showtime’s Yellowjackets, a role that earned critical praise before his character’s dramatic exit in season three.

Krueger has also appeared in Pretty Little Liars, CSI: NY, Parenthood, Workaholics and Two and a Half Men.

With a wedding on the way and a baby due next spring, Krueger is now entering a new personal chapter alongside King, while fans continue to revisit his most recognisable roles on screen.
