Yasir Nawaz defends Nida Yasir as Fizza Ali slams his wife’s remarks on delivery riders

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani actress and TV host Fizza Ali recently criticized morning show host Nida Yasir over her controversial comments about delivery riders, which sparked a heated debate on social media.

Nida Yasir had said that delivery riders often do not carry exact change, forcing customers to pay extra. She added that people should always have the exact amount ready and that it is the riders’ responsibility to return any balance. Her remarks drew widespread criticism online.

Fizza Ali responded strongly, highlighting the challenges delivery riders face. She said, “These riders go out at late hours and in dangerous weather just to make life easier for us. We buy expensive food but forget to give them the respect they deserve. They are humans too, someone’s son, someone’s father, or the sole provider of a household. Showing them respect is essential.”

In response to Fizza Ali’s criticism, Nida Yasir’s husband, actor and director Yasir Nawaz, stepped in to defend his wife. He stood by Nida, saying her remarks were being misunderstood and that she never intended to disrespect delivery riders.
