LAHORE: Table-toppers Peshawar Zalmi, who lead the Pakistan Super League standings with a Net Run Rate of +2.645, defeated Karachi Kings by seven wickets in the 32nd match of the tournament, successfully chasing a 182-run target.
Both sides showed competitive performances, but Zalmi dominated the chase with confidence and control. Batting first after winning the toss, Karachi Kings posted 182 runs on the board.

The Kings got a strong start with Jason Roy, Azam Khan, and Reeza Hendricks contributing effectively to build momentum. Jason Roy top-scored with 85 off 51 balls, hitting 11 boundaries and 2 sixes, while Azam Khan scored 35. Reeza Hendricks added 13 runs.
Zalmi bowlers maintained tight control in the death overs, restricting the lower order, with no batter scoring more than 12. Shahid Aziz and Hasan Ali were dismissed for ducks, while Moeen Ali remained unbeaten but could not influence the total as the innings closed at 182.

Chasing the target, the Babar Azam-led Zalmi side started confidently. Openers James Vince and Babar Azam put on 41 runs, with Vince scoring 16 off 20 balls and the skipper contributing 25 off 19 deliveries.
The innings was anchored by Kusal Mendis, who remained unbeaten on 80 off 43 balls, including 5 fours and 4 sixes. Mohammad Haris also provided solid support with an unbeaten 58 off 36 balls.

Zalmi comfortably reached the target in 18.5 overs, losing just three wickets. Aaron Hardie finished the chase with five off six balls. The innings also included two extras conceded by the Karachi Kings bowlers.
With this victory, Peshawar Zalmi strengthened their position at the top of the PSL standings.
