Zendaya and Robert Pattinson spark online frenzy with surprise rom-com

Zendaya and Robert Pattinson have unveiled the first look at their upcoming A24 romantic comedy The Drama, and the internet is already calling it one of 2026’s most exciting pairings.

Zendaya shared the poster on Instagram on Tuesday, showing her cosied up next to Pattinson as he wraps an arm around her. Her character appears to be engaged, flashing a sparkling ring while smiling softly at the camera. She captioned the post: “THE DRAMA. Formal invitation to follow.”

Written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli, the film follows a “happily engaged couple” whose wedding week is thrown into chaos after an unexpected revelation threatens their future. The project marks a fresh rom-com direction for both stars.

Alongside Zendaya and Pattinson, the cast includes Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie, Michael Abbott Jr., Hailey Gates and Sydney Lemmon.

A24 has confirmed that The Drama will hit cinemas on 3 April 2026.
