Ayyan Ali’s cheery greeting to President Zardari raises eye brows

ISLAMABAD: Model Ayyan Ali, renowned for her bold statements and glamorous presence, recently took to microblogging platform X to extend warm wishes to PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari on his re-election as President of Pakistan.

In her post, Ayyan expressed her support for Zardari, stating, “Mornin’ Mr. President. Godspeed and Good luck. And of course not to forget. Ahh well very respectfully, Asif Ali Zardari is the head of state again and we all love him.”

Accompanying her post was a clip from a previous interview with actor Shaan Shahid on a morning show, where Ayyan gracefully acknowledged Zardari’s role as the head of state, emphasizing, “Well very respectfully he is the head of the state. Our president and we all love him.”

However, Ayyan Ali’s vocal support for the president comes with a history. In 2015, she made headlines when she was detained for attempting to smuggle half a million dollars in cash to the UAE from the Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Islamabad.
