Blackpink’s Lisa joins cast of “The White Lotus” for third season

WEB DESK: Lalisa Manobal, popularly known as Lisa from the Korean girl-group “Blackpink” is set to make her small-screen acting debut.

Lisa will be part of the acclaimed HBO series “The White Lotus” for its upcoming third season.

The news was confirmed her agency “LLOUD”. Lisa’s role in the drama remains undisclosed for now.

“The White Lotus” is known for its portrayal of extravagance and drama. The drama previously explored settings in Hawaii, United States and Sicily, Italy. Meanwhile, the third season will be filmed in Thailand, specifically around main Thai cities Phuket and Bangkok.

Lisa’s venture into acting follows fellow Blackpink members Jisoo and Jennie, who have also made strides in the entertainment industry.

Besides acting, Lisa has ventured into solo activities such as the release of her solo album “Lalisa” released in 2021. The self-titled album achieved record-breaking success, helping cement herself as a successful solo artist.
