SCOTLAND: A mysterious clown haunting the streets of Skelmorlie in North Ayrshire, Scotland, has boldly challenged the authorities and issued a message to the media.
According to Sky News, sporting a Pennywise-inspired ensemble, the unidentified individual has allegedly been placing red balloons throughout the village, leaving locals both bewildered and apprehensive. Photos and videos capturing the clown in eerie nocturnal settings have surfaced on social media, only to be swiftly deleted.
A Facebook account, under the name Cole Deimos, has been established for the mysterious Skelmorlie clown. Responding to reports of instilling fear among residents, the clown uploaded a rhyming video addressing the media during the early hours of Thursday.
In the video, the clown sarcastically contemplates smiling for the cameras with their “hideous” grin.
According to the Facebook profile, the character claims to have “studied at Clown School” and resides in Skelmorlie. When confronted by a local about deleting previous posts due to excessive scrutiny, the clown dismissively responds, “What a stupid thing to say.”
Notably, Pennywise the Dancing Clown, a character from Stephen King’s “It,” serves as the inspiration for the Skelmorlie clown. Known for haunting the streets of Derry in Maine and preying on children every 27 years, Pennywise has become a cultural icon of terror.

Meanwhile, Scotland Police is reportedly aware of the clown’s online activity, and attempts to reach the authorities for comment are ongoing.
The clown, seemingly unfazed, issued a defiant statement: “Do you think that I care? They’d have to catch me first anyway – and yes, that’s a dare. They called me ‘killer clown.’ Why don’t you leave the jokes to me? The only thing that’s dying is your credibility.”
In a direct message to journalists covering the story, the clown declared, “This clown doesn’t want fame, glory, or gold. He just wants to play in this so-called ‘sleepy town.’ So, come and join in and learn to fear the Skelmorlie clown.” Despite the eerie spectacle, some residents expressed admiration for the mysterious clown’s antics, encouraging them to continue their unconventional escapades.
