Born on April 28, 1936, in Jalandhar, Tariq Aziz’s family migrated to Pakistan after the partition, eventually settling in Sahiwal.

Commencing his career with Radio Pakistan during the 1960s, Tariq Aziz swiftly transitioned into becoming Pakistan’s inaugural television host. His ascent to fame was propelled by the immensely popular programme “Neelam Ghar,” which debuted in 1974 and was later rebranded as the “Tariq Aziz Show,” captivating audiences for four decades.

Beyond his captivating presence on television, Aziz graced the silver screen in notable films such as “Chiragh Kahan Roshni Kahan,” “Salgirah,” “Qasam Us Waqt Ki,” “Katari,” “Haar Gaya Insan,” and “Insaniyat.”

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the entertainment industry, Tariq Aziz was bestowed with the prestigious Pride of Performance Award by the Government of Pakistan in 1994.

However, his illustrious journey reached its conclusion on June 17, 2020, when Tariq Aziz breathed his last in Lahore at the age of 84, succumbing to a cardiac arrest.
