Eid-ul-Fitr predicted for April 11; possibility of extended holidays

WEB DESK: Renowned spiritual scholar and researcher, Hafiz Imran Hameed Ashrafi, has made the prediction of 30 roza this year, and correspondingly Eid-ul-Fitr falling on April 11 this year.

According to Ashrafi, Pakistanis are likely to observe Eid-ul-Fitr on April 11, following the sighting of the moon of Shawwal-ul-Mukarram on Wednesday, April 10. This prediction has sparked anticipation among Pakistanis, with preparations underway for the joyous occasion.

While the possibility of extended holidays in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is already almost official, in Pakistan so far, there are only expectations of a long weekend.

Since April 11 is falling on a Thursday, and traditionally this Eid gets at least three official holidays, that would mean April 11 through April 13 as official holidays followed by a Sunday.

Students and grownups alike are excitedly looking forward to a long weekend this Eid-ul-Fitr. However, the authorities are yet to formally announce the holidays.
