Royal snap: Prince William and kids’ photo with Taylor Swift

LONDON: British monarchy’s heir Prince William along with his children, Charlotte and George, enjoyed meeting United States pop-singer Taylor Swift at the opening night of her Eras tour in London on Friday.

The royal family attended the event as Prince William celebrated his 42nd birthday.

A photograph was shared on Kensington Palace’s social media account. It showed Prince William smiling while Taylor Swift took a selfie with him and the children. The post thanked Swift for her concert.

Taylor Swift herself shared a different photo on her social media platforms. It featured herself, Prince William, his children, and her partner Travis Kelce.

On her official account, Swift wrote, “Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start”.

London made special preparations for Swift’s concert at the Wembley Stadium in London, where she performed to almost 90,000 fans. The London authorities unveiled a unique version of its iconic London Underground map. The special edition map was designed to commemorate Swift’s residency at Wembley Stadium and highlighted key locations relevant to her career.

Meanwhile, at Buckingham Palace, the traditional “Changing of the Guard” ceremony featured a tribute for Taylor Swift. A military band performed a rendition of one of her popular songs. Such an acknowledgment from Buckingham Palace is impressive!
