ISLAMABAD: Sultan Rahi is being remembered on hi 28th death anniversary this Tuesday.
Commencing his cinematic journey in 1959 with a guest role in the film ‘Baghi,’ Sultan Rahi ascended to unparalleled fame with the release of the iconic ‘Maula Jatt’ in 1979.
Throughout his illustrious career, Rahi graced the screen in over 800 Punjabi and Urdu-language films, earning a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most prolific actor.

Acknowledging his exceptional contributions, Sultan Rahi received two Nigar Awards for his performances in ‘Babul’ (1971) and ‘Basheera’ (1972).
Tragically, the legendary actor met an untimely demise when he was fatally shot near Gujranwala on January 9, 1996.
