X account named ‘Tejassvi Prakash’ accused of spreading anti-India content

Pakistan India tensions X

Indian users on X (formerly Twitter) are raising concerns over an account operating under the name Tejassvi Prakash (@Tiju0Prakash), claiming it is a fake or bot account allegedly run from Pakistan.

The account, which carries a verified blue tick, has reportedly been posting anti-India content and sharing unverified information, especially since tensions between Pakistan and India escalated in recent days.

The bio of the account reads: “Proud India, Congress loyalist, Fighting for justice, backing Rahul Gandhi vision for united Bharat, and truth over propaganda.” However, the account’s recent posts, which appear to favour Pakistan, have cast doubts over its stated allegiance, with Indian users calling it “anti-India”.

In one post, the user questioned Indian media reports claiming that the Indian Army had shot down three Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jets and a pilot. The user called the news a “drama” and demanded proof, suggesting there was no evidence to back the claim.

The account appears to alternate between pro-India and critical narratives — on one hand posting messages encouraging citizens to “come out to protect India”, and on the other, acknowledging what it describes as “heavy damages” caused by Pakistani retaliation. This contradictory stance has triggered backlash from Indian users, many of whom are labelling the account as a Pakistani bot or a disinformation outlet.

Recently, the same account claimed that Pakistan had attacked Pathankot and another key airbase, further stating that people in India were “scared” and “no one knows what’s coming next”. In another alarming post, the user alleged:

“A PAF hypersonic missile has reportedly destroyed our S-400 air defence system stationed at Udhampur. If confirmed, this marks a major blow to India’s strategic air defence capability. Awaiting official response from Indian authorities.”

These posts have intensified criticism, with Indian users accusing the account of spreading panic and misinformation at a sensitive time.

Adding to the confusion is the account name, which matches that of Indian actress Tejasswi Prakash Wayangankar, known for her work in Hindi television and Marathi cinema. However, there is no verified confirmation that the account is linked to the actress. At this stage, it remains unclear whether the account is genuinely Indian, operated by a Pakistani user, or part of a bot network.

Despite the uncertainty, the account continues to draw attention as users across the platform question its credibility and motives.
