LAHORE: The controversial TikToker, Kashif Zameer, was once again arrested for brandishing weapons in public and on social media.
He was taken into custody by the Crime Control Department (CCD) from Lahore’s Iqbal Town, along with 13 armed private guards, after videos showing public display of weapons went viral on social media.
According to officials, Zameer was taken into custody after videos circulated online showing his private security guards brandishing heavy weaponry in public, raising serious concerns about public safety.
Acting swiftly, the CCD not only arrested the social media personality but also detained all 13 guards who appeared in the videos, allegedly armed with illegal weapons, the police said.
FIRs have been registered at the CCD police station under multiple sections of the law, including charges related to illegal display of weapons and endangering public safety.
Police has also released a video, in which the handcuffed Kashif Zameer apologises for his conduct. “I am ashamed and seek apologies for promoting ‘dala’ culture and showcasing weapons publicly in a video that went viral on social media. I assure that neither me nor anyone from my family will ever try to promote ‘dala’ and gun culture.”
Zameer has previously made headlines for flaunting wealth, controversial claims, and his alleged involvement in fraud cases.
The TikToker came to the limelight in 2021 when he signed a deal with ‘Ertugrul Ghazi’ and hosted him in Pakistan.
However, in June 2021, the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) arrested him for defrauding the famous Turkish actor.
Engin Altan Duzyatan – who played the role of Ertugrul Ghazi in historical drama serial, Dirilis: Ertugrul – had accused Kashif Zameer of misusing his fame and pictures to earn illegal benefits; issuing him bogus cheques; and breaching the mutually agreed contracts.
The same year, Kashif Zameer was arrested again for possessing a vehicle with a fake government number along with a blue light, arms and artificial jewellery.
Almost four years after this scandal, the TikToker was booked in an FIR in April 2025, for ridiculing the police uniform in a viral video.
