US: Community mourns loss of agent Lyonette Hale Thomas

DANVILLE: The Arkansas River Valley, a region in the central United States (US), has been mourning following the death of agent Lyonette Hale Thomas, a law enforcement officer.
Agent Lyonette Hale Thomas worked for the fifteenth Judicial District Drug Task Force in Danville, a city in the state of Arkansas, US.

Lyonette lost her life to a sudden blood clot on August 7 aged 38. The law enforcer recently gave birth to her a daughter.
The officer was the first woman president of the Arkansas Narcotics Officers Association that focused on drug-related crimes.
Lyonette earned a degree in criminal justice from Arkansas Tech University and then began her career with the fifteenth Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney.
At first she worked as a probation officer before upgrading to the district drug task force. At the task force, she was responsible for investigating drug-related crimes.
The agent was an exceptional officer in her field. She received that Paudert Evans Law Enforcement Officer of the Year award in 2016.

The city held a memorial service for agent Lyonette Hale Thomas. A memorial fund was also founded with donations going to her husband towards paying for the funeral.
Her funeral is scheduled for Monday.
