11 family members killed as flood water enters the basement

KOHAT: Eleven family members were killed when a flash flood swept into the basement of their house in Dara Adam Khel.

According to rescue officials, the tragic event unfolded as torrential rains lashed the region, leading to a flash flood that inundated the basement of the residence. The flood waters entered so swiftly that the family did not even have time to escape.

Rescue teams have confirmed the loss of ten lives, including men, women, and children, as they were trapped in the house when the water surged in. A young girl earlier was reported missing, however rescue operations located her body later.
