12 terrorists killed in operations in Panjgur, N. Waziristan and DI Khan: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: A total of 12 terrorists were killed in three separate intelligence-based operations (IBO) in Panjgur, North Waziristan and Dera Ismail Khan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) informed in a press release on Saturday.
According to the ISPR, security forces conducted an IBO in North Waziristan district, located in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province on Saturday.

During the IBO, Pakistani forces killed two terrorists, while “weapons, ammunition and explosives” were recovered.
The ISPR stated that “sanitisation operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as [the] security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism”.
Meanwhile, in Balochistan district of Panjgur, a security operation eliminated two terrorists.
According to the ISPR, “2 terrorists including terrorist Asad Hasrat” were killed. Meanwhile “a cache of arms, ammunition and explosives was also recovered”.
The ISPR stated that the terrorists were involved in “numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as innocent civilians in the area”.
The ISPR said that the security forces were determined to “thwart attempts of sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan”.
Similarly, in an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan on Friday, security forces were able to eliminate eight terrorists “after an intense fire exchange”.

The ISPR noted that the terrorists were involved in various terrorist activities against the armed forces and civilians in the surrounding areas.
Arms and explosive material was confiscated from the terrorist hideout, while the local residents were grateful to the armed forces for securing the region.
